Fight against the movement to exclude Christians from caring for orphans!
Throughout the ages, a hallmark of Christianity has been the care of orphans. Christians have been revolutionary in seeing orphaned children as significant and worthy of protection. In Victorian England, orphaned children were considered scum suitable only for workhouses until the great Christian George Muller opened the eyes of the culture through his revolutionary and compassionate care for orphans.
However, some individuals and groups are fighting to exclude Christians from caring for orphans!
The National Association of Social Workers recently signed on to an ad campaign that argues that Christian adoption agencies and social workers shouldn’t be allowed to care for foster kids.
Sign this petition now to this DC based group. They need to realize that if we want to care for orphans, we need to partner with Christian agencies.
The ad suggests that individuals with Christian beliefs about marriage shouldn’t be allowed to find homes for foster children. This is lunacy. At the end of the day, we must allow adoption agencies to protect and care for children.
Science has proven what the Bible has always taught – families are made of moms and dads, and kids need both in order to thrive. In fact, research has demonstrated that growing up without a father and mother can permanently damage the brain and cause children to be angrier and turn to self-destructive behaviors.
Why would anyone want to force an adoption agency to place a child in a situation they know will be harmful to that child?
What’s more, if we don’t allow religious adoption agencies to follow their religion, they may close up shop as many Catholic orphanages have been forced to do around the country! Having fewer orphanages and adoption agencies to care for kids would be better for no one.
Please sign this petition to the National Association of Social Workers and ask them if they are willing to make foster kids pay the price for their anti-Christian agenda.
