Fighting for “Peace in the Womb”

Christmas is a season for awe and for wonder. Each year, our calendar reminds us that upon the earth a Light has dawned. Christ came to bring light into our darkness and peace to a world full of sin and death. He came in the humble form of a tiny, tiny baby. He was completely helpless –a babe carried inside His mother’s body.

Today, 2,000 years later we continue to celebrate the peace on earth between God and man that the tiny baby Jesus would bring about. A group in Arizona is using the light of that baby to inspire them to protect and defend other tiny babies from abortion.

In mid-December, pro-life warriors from the Pro-Life Action League gathered outside of abortion clinics in Glendale and Tempe, Arizona to call for, “Peace in the Womb,” through Christmas carols and comfort to women considering abortion. Join with these pro-life heroes this holiday season and start the New Year off right by signing this declaration committing to work for “Peace in the Womb.”

The pro-life carolers sang outside of the Glendale Planned Parenthood and the Tempe Planned Parenthood. They say carols including Silent Night," "What Child Is This?" and "O Come, Little Children."

Lisa Blevins, organized the Glendale caroling event. She was inspired by attending a caroling demonstration last year in Tempe. Blevins says the purpose of the event is to show love and compassion for women considering abortion and to remind them that “salvation of the world came through an unplanned pregnancy.”

"There is a great need for healing in Glendale and throughout the Valley from the tragedy and violence of abortion," Blevins said. "Our communities have suffered a deep wound because of abortion. There is a great need to bring the light, joy and peace of Christ to a place that is surrounded by deep sadness and a cloud of darkness.”

Each year, thousands upon thousands of tiny babies are aborted. Their precious lives are ended because our society has decided choice should trump life. But the women who are “choosing” abortion often feel they have no choice. They feel alone and helpless. What events like the “Peace in the Womb” caroling demonstrate to hurting women is that they are not alone. We need to be fighting against abortion and fighting to empower and protect women.

It’s now the end of 2017. It’s time to reflect on the year and consider what is most important. In the next year, let’s commit to fight for the unborn. Let’s call on our friends, neighbors and churches to welcome and love women dealing with unplanned pregnancies. Let’s create a culture that affirms life and glorifies God. And let’s declare that we are committed to bringing “Peace in the womb” to our communities and our country at large.

Declaration of Commitment to bring “Peace in the Womb”

Christmas is a season for awe and for wonder. Each year, our calendar reminds us that upon the earth a Light has dawned. Christ came to bring light into our darkness and peace to a world full of sin and death. He came in the humble form of a tiny, tiny baby. He was completely helpless –a babe carried inside His mother’s body.

Today, 2,000 years later we continue to celebrate the peace on earth between God and man that the tiny baby Jesus would bring about. We recognize that one of the greatest evils of our time is abortion and so we declare our commitment to work towards bringing “Peace in the Womb” in 2018.

Each year, thousands upon thousands of tiny babies are aborted. Their precious lives are ended because our society has decided choice should trump life. But the women who are “choosing” abortion often feel they have no choice. They feel alone and helpless. Hurting women must know that they are not alone.
